Funerary relief of Rabirii and Usia Prima
This tombstone, probably part of a large ara, was found on the Via Appia, about 200m from the tomb of Tiberius Claudius Second, depicts two freedmen (From whose name has climbed to their Greek origin) C. Rabirius Post(umi) l(ibertus) Hermodorus e Rabiria Demaris and a third figure, a priestess of the cult of Isis Usia Prima sac(erdos) Isidis whose sides are exposed cult instruments like a cup and a sistrum (Stringed musical instrument). The first two figures date from around 40 BC while the female figure on the right and was made later, perhaps reworking a male figure.
